Waypoint 4.1 has been released. This update adds the following features:
Proximity Alerts
Proximity alerts allow you to be notified when you are apporaching your waypoint. This alert can be configured in the Edit Notifications menu item. There are 4 preset distances to choose from: 30, 50, 100, and 150 meters. When the proximity alert is enabled and triggered a system notification alert message will be displayed in notification bar.
Notify user if GPS sensor is not enabled
Waypoint will check if the GPS sensor is enabled and if it is not, the user will be prompted to enable the GPS sensor. If the user decides to enable the GPS, the Location and Security menu is displayed where this setting can be changed. Once complete, they return back to Waypoint. Waypoint will remember if the user enabled the GPS sensor and prompt the user to disable the sensor on exit, but only if the Back button is used to terminate the application.
This version resolves the following issues:
Directional arrow rotation issue
The directional arrow was not rotating properly on all screen resolutions. Thanks go to the user that pointed this one out. With a little help from the Android emulator to simulate multiple screen resolutions, this one was resolved.
